Yummm - the traditional spaghetti bolognese. - I’ve been working on a classic American version which is so, so simple ...

Just cook

100g of butter
a whole onion sliced in half
one minced garlic clove
two cans of plum tomato & salt / pepper

for 1.5hrs before removing the onion (it’s just in there to add flavour) ...

and you now have the perfect bolognese base to work with!
