The seafood is on wonderful display at the Rialto fish market, Venice

The seafood is on wonderful display at the Rialto fish market, directly on the Grand Canal (as they have been for almost 1000 years). When visiting Venice, don’t miss the architecture & authentic locals doing their daily shopping in contrast to the tourist soaked Rialto bridge just a few minutes walk away.

And this octopus with it’s rough, textured suckers is making me desperate to get into a kitchen to make a 'saffron-risotto rolled Octopus' with a crispy gluten-free outside & soft seafood inside.

  2. Thank you for the comment. Venice was truly amazing and we can't wait to get out there again soon, this time with our daughter, who being gluten free, sometimes seems to get missed out on pasta dishes. Seems like Italy has lots of gluten free pastas however, so we are hopeful! And yes, the fresh 'polpo' is amazing.
